As part of the Sonic Jeel Research Lab, we have been curating a special collections library dedicated to experimental sound by acquiring an eclectic selection of vinyl albums. This collection features uniquely printed and hand-pressed colored vinyl, unique recordings with cultural significance, and influential works that have shaped the trajectory of experimental and electronic music.
This ongoing project serves as a resource for learning and listening sessions, providing students and faculty with hands-on engagement with historical and contemporary sound experiments. Additionally, the lab integrates the collection into public performances and community outreach in Qatar.
